Fence rules in North Sydney Council

Under the NSW exempt development rules a boundary fence behind the building line can be up to 1.8 m high without approval on most residential lots. North Sydney Council's heritage conservation areas mean most front-fence work is not exempt – check the DCP before deciding on style and height.
