Colorbond sheet profiles
We offer the two Colorbond fence sheet profiles – Standard/Trimdek and New Style/Zig Zag. Both are genuine BlueScope Colorbond and both are the same cost; choose the look you prefer or match your neighbour's fence.
New Style / Zig Zag
A sharper, more contemporary profile. Both profiles are the same cost – choose whichever suits your home or matches the neighbouring fence.
Colorbond fence components
A Colorbond fence panel is made of two C-posts (channel posts), two rails (top and bottom) and three infill sheets, fixed with colour-matched tek screws. A standard panel is 2.4 m long and 790 mm-wide sheets; extended 3.1 m panels use four sheets. Lattice, louvre or slat tops add a fourth rail and a 300 mm insert.
Every sheet carries the laser-etched Colorbond insignia – the easy way to confirm you have genuine BlueScope steel rather than a look-alike.
Common questions
Which profile matches my existing fence?
Most Colorbond fences built before about 2015 use the Standard/Trimdek profile with a wide, shallow rib. Newer fences are often New Style/Zig Zag with a sharper rib. Compare the close-up photos, or send us a photo and we will tell you.
Is one profile stronger?
Both are genuine Colorbond fence sheets of the same thickness and both are suitable for fences up to 2.4 m. The difference is appearance.
Do they cost the same?
Yes – we charge the same for either profile, and the same for every Colorbond colour.
Can I mix profiles?
On one fence, no – the sheets would not sit together. For a new fence next to an old one you can match the existing profile or start fresh with the other; extension kits are available in both profiles to match what is there.
